The hidden, the spaces between - losses, gaps, desires - all fuel my work. This series is constructed solely from the Tmagazine published by the NYT - a framework to limit that hunt for that elusive 'just one more' collage element.

A queer Canadian multidisciplinary artist, Wendy Oberlander explores the hidden, working with materials and methods that stimulate both the sensory and the cultural imagination. The archive remains a source of much inspiration, as do patterns, found objects, letter forms and the natural world. Oberlander's award-winning work has been exhibited in museums, galleries, film festivals and public institutions across North America and in Europe. Projects have been generously supported by Canada Council, BC Arts Council, National Film Board and the Fulbright Scholars Program, among many others.
