                              Just a body

                         performing its own

                    fracture—

         this body

    rehearses

its collapsing.

         Forgive me.

    I exist,

         shy   body

              poisoning

                   sweetness.

I am body

    shape gliding

         through bruises,

              patient as a stain.

         I am body

              folding

                   wounds

                        into soft parts.

Every joint

    wants to break,

         double              back
