Immerse

Imagine a boat. Is it afloat? If not,
‍ ‍imagine your boat afloat. Tell me
of your floating boat. Is it big. Is it
‍ ‍small? What color? Is it wooden,
‍ ‍fiberglass or other? Is it in a harbor
‍ ‍or inlet or out in open water? Is it
‍ ‍moving or is it tethered? Are you
‍ ‍in the boat? If not, imagine this.
You are not safe. A storm surrounds.
‍ ‍You must sink your boat. Do this.
‍ ‍Make it fall below. Watch it grow
‍ ‍faint. Did you follow your boat
down? Did you, are you drowning
‍ ‍with it? Or did you stay up top,
‍ ‍watch it getting smaller, darker
‍ ‍ alone? Now — Stop this.
