A Poem for you, while you’re waiting for the train to Iceland

A blueberry picking kind of love

with wild roots, tender stems

and iridescent green leaves outshining the moon

and several bright stars, too.

A pink flower to keep you company

as you continue to feel as deeply as you always do,

forever and despite.

Poem shortlisted for MONO Poetry Prize 2023
