As I step
onto the plateau
of a rather grumpy mercury
the air kisses my earlobes
with that coolness that is felt on tropical shores,
what is air but not flirty
except in evaporation where it plays second fiddle, to science.
And yet the scent of sanctuary, more like Forests of grace, much sweeter than Dior
could hope for
will unfold,
and fold again
as the marrow is only that
a jelly belly of
the messy remains of a storyline derailed
with side notes pencilled in and erased
and the occasional maddening
trying to find comfort.
